Our purpose
Work with writers at all levels to help their writing ability. As we explore various possibilities with their writing to avoid co-writing, they will develop an increased writing ability over time. All tutors are focused on the long term growth and development of the student.
What we do
We work with writers of all levels and abilities at any stage of the writing process (from brainstorming to final revisions).
We promote long-term growth and conversation to aid the student in becoming a better learner. Sharing how to proficiently navigate systems and encourage study habits should result in more wholesome work.
We invite each writer to engage with questions and writing strategies that help them interact more deeply with their ideas. Our conversations prompt thinking without co-writing papers.
We engage in conversations that help writers develop writing projects through effective research and source integration, and we explore the possibilities of our rhetorical choices.
Good questions to ask

Laptop/iPad
Other material that would help aid conversation with your tutor
-
We want to work with writers to help them develop their writing. Skipping personal interaction allows for shallow growth to take place within the writer. We value face-to-face interaction and working through the paper/project.
-
Your tutor will discuss your goals, read your paper, and begin to discuss key aspects you want to focus on. We will suggest general ideas, pose questions, and give a variety of suggestions. We will not be changing the content of your paper but suggesting ideas for editing and revising.
